Pawz-itive Dog Training

What We Focus On:

In our traditional Board and Train program, we focus on resolving common dog challenges and improving your dog’s focus and genetic fulfillment with Basic and Advanced Obedience. We tap into your dog’s value system and use it to our advantage. We will recommend and make suggestions involving training gear such as different harnesses, leashes and collars. We will teach you directly how to communicate with your dog and how to get them to comply with basic and advanced commands.

How Long Does It Take?

We require a minimum of 18 to 21 days for dogs 4+ months old. Scientifically, it takes 18 days to proof any command to a dog so any program that guarantees this in less time may be putting too much of the work on you as the owner to get the dog through the 4 different learning stages: Acquisition, Fluency, Generalization and lastly Management.  During the board and train program your dog will be expected upon graduation to walk with you on a loose leash, sit, down, stay, come on leash and place reliably.

Socialization Expectations:

We also place a huge emphasis on socializing your dog with both men and women and exposing your dog to children under supervision and without close contact by endangering both the pet and minor(s). We are a family business and your dog will have plenty of opportunity to meet other dogs and people during their stay and overall have better impulse control and listening skills. Your dog will enjoy a day full of supervised, structured playtime with other well behaved dogs, group obedience practice, outings and attending Group Classes and Pack Walks.  We crate our dogs for safety, but make exceptions based on your dog’s crating experience.

If this Service does not fit your need we offer two other board and train services that will!

Prices vary depending on your training goals but range from $125 to $145 a day. We have 2-4 spots available at a time because we believe your dog shouldn’t be kept in a large kennel area with 20 other dogs barking nonstop. We are selective in choosing if a Board and Train Program is indeed a good fit for both you and your dog. And to answer all the questions you have, we are available 7 days a week for you to call and ask for more information.
